Call Program then exit

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone.

I have a simple question I know, but I cannot find out how to do it? I have a message box at the end of a script that asks if you want to run the program. but I need the script to exit if the program is called? I tried using the "EXIT" command, but it doesn't work.

Please help me see what I am doing wrong?

I have attached my script.

Thanks!

Try run instead RunWait

RunWait pauses script execution until the program finishes (until that program is closed)

Thanks guys for your help! But when I tried it, it still didn't work? I added a msgbox to see if it was even getting that far, but it is.

Ideas?

Example:

MsgBox(36, "Congratulations", "System is Installed. Would you like to run the ECSystem now?")

If 1 Then

msgbox(0, "", "good so far")

Else

exit

EndIf

Exit

It should work fine when you have these 2 last lines:

$rc = MsgBox(36, "Congratulations", "System is Installed. Would you like to run the ECSystem now?")
If $rc = 6 Then ShellExecute("iexplore.exe")
