TripScott
I have been searching for two days now how to get the folder name as a string. I need to add a file to a zip. That isn't hard except that the subfolder the zip file is in varies each time. When I run this code I get a non array variable error.Dim $FileList[2] Dim $fFolder, $sZip Dim $sZipFile, $sFileName, $sDestDir, $iFlag ;get all folder names $FileList = _FileListToArray("C:\data\pimvault\", "*", 2) $fFolder = _ArrayToString($FileList) $fFolder = StringTrimLeft($fFolder, 2) Nothing is ever stored in $fFolder. The zip file name & the name of the file being added are the same as the folder name. If I can just get that into a string I am all set. By the way this works fine in SciTE, but not when compiled. Can anyone please help me out? Thanks, KS
Moderators Melba23 Posted July 22, 2010 Moderators Share Posted July 22, 2010 TripScott,First, if you get a "non array variable error" then you must wonder if this line:$FileList = _FileListToArray("C:\data\pimvault\", "*", 2)is returning an array. Have you checked? Next, if there is more than than a single folder in the array, this line:$fFolder = _ArrayToString($FileList)returns a "|" delimited string, as it says in the Help file, so the result will not be useable as a path. Finally, what is this:$fFolder = StringTrimLeft($fFolder, 2)supposed to do? Try looking at $FileList and $fFolder to see exactly what they contain - the key is undoutedly there.
