Hotkey to close process

Recommended Posts

Ok I am new here and am really happy with the online community and the great help you all provide :blink:

I have a script that uses mouse movements, which is OK but it gets in the way of me being able to easly terminate the process. This must come up alot so I was wondering what is the most elegant way to do this?

I had thought of making a new script specifically to end the process, but with the mouse out of order I would need to bind this to a hot key arrangement something like alt+shift+s or something. But I can't figure out how... Any pointers? Thanks again!

python44,

Hotkeys are really simple:

#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>

HotKeySet("+!s", "_Exit") ; Set a HotKey to run this function when pressed

$hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500)

$hLabel = GUICtrlCreateLabel("Press Alt-Shift-S to exit", 10, 10)

GUISetState()

While 1
    Switch GUIGetMsg()
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
    EndSwitch
WEnd

Func _Exit()
    MsgBox(0, "Exiting", "You pressed the HotKey")
    Exit
EndFunc

All clear? :blink:
