Exe versions

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Is there a way to manage the scripts versions?

For example: I wrote a script. I want to give it a version number 1, to build it and send the exe to the client.

Now there are some changes and I want to give the script a version number 2, and again - build and send the exe to the client.

How do I do it the correct way (without dealing with CM systems) and how can the client tell me which script version does he have now?

Many thanks!

dushkin,

If you have the full SciTE4AutoIt3 package, then you can set the exe properties using directives like this:

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Description=

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Fileversion=

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_LegalCopyright=

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Field=ProductName|

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Productversion=

Full details are found via the <Help - SciTE Help> menu in the editor.

If you have not get the full package, you can get it here. You get lots of additional goodies to help you script in AutoIt - I have yet to meet anyone who has regretted installing it.
