gunrunnerjohn
I have been looking for a way to get AutoIt to run a script when a low battery alert comes in from Windows. It seems that in their infinite wisdom, Microsoft decided to omit the feature to run a script on the low battery or critical battery alerts. I'd like that feature back, and I figured maybe AutoIt might be able to do that. This was easy in XP, there was an option in the basic UPS driver. Richard Robertson
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa394503%28VS.85%29.aspx You can use WMI to check the status of the remaining charge. You can use the EstimatedChargeRemaining property to see the percent remaining. Once it gets so low you can do what you need to do.
