Windows XP dllcalls & standby/hibernate problem

Recommended Posts

I've been using the example code given here:

http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=21575

My script works great on windows7 and Vista, but it doesn't work properly on XP. On XP, it goes into standby like it should, but then it immediately resumes. I set it to standby for 1 min, but it stays in standby for literally 1 second and then resumes. I get the same behavior for hibernate. Anyone know why the timer isn't working for XP?

The behavior I described was on an IBM Laptop. I tried it on a Dell also, and the behavior is much more sporadic. 50% of the time it behaves like the IBM. The other 50% it just stays in standby and I have to resume the laptop manually. Also, hibernate is not working on the Dell. It just does a standby.

Could it be that the example code just does not work well with XP? Or is there something I can change for it to work better?

Thanks for any ideas!
