GUICtrlSetTip's display time.

Hello!

First of all, I show an example:

#include <ButtonConstants.au3>
#include <GUIConstantsEx.au3>
#include <WindowsConstants.au3>
$Form2 = GUICreate("Example Form", 222, 156, 295, 223)
$Button1 = GUICtrlCreateButton("This is a button.", 56, 72, 91, 25)
GUICtrlSetTip(-1, "Tip text", "Tip Title")
GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

While 1
    $nMsg = GUIGetMsg()
    Switch $nMsg
        Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE
            Exit
        Case $Button1
            ;Do nothing
    EndSwitch
WEnd

If I leave the mouse over the button, will show a tip for about 5~6 seconds. Then the tip is removed and it will only return If I click the button.

Can I extend this displaying time from the tip? Or remove it at all? Or an alternative?

Tks! ;)

SeF,

It is a Windows thing - not an AutoIt bug. Take a look here. ;)

What are you talking about?!?

This is AutoIt bug. I have written about it before. In 3.3.0.0 issue doesn't exist. Somewhere after that release issue appears. (3.3.2.0 have it)

Jon rejected it as bug probably only because of ignorance.

... It happens

edit:

It's easy to prove.

@SeF, I'm attaching AutoIt v3.3.0.0 here. Download it and run the script you posed here with it (just drop it on exe). Is there issue with that version of AutoIt?

AutoIt3.3.0.0.exe

Who's wrong? Me or the rest of the world?

Yes. It worked! Good to know!

Still stays for about 5~6 seconds, but don't need to 'do something else' to make it appear again.

I will need to change just a couple of things to make my script compatible with 3.3.0.0 version according to the script-breaking changes notes... :)

Thanks for the info trancexx! ;)
