Hi there,

i read in the releasenotes that it should be possible now to drag and move a GUI with the attribute $WS_POPUP ($WS_POPUPWINDOW).

GUICreate("Hello", 800, 480, -1, -1, $WS_POPUPWINDOW)
 GUISetState(@SW_SHOW)

 While 1
  Sleep (10000)
  Exit
 Wend

i could not find out how, or did i misunderstand something?

thx for your hints and help

cu..

Doh! - Sorry...

but who can read is obviously in advantage over those who can't ;)

found the solution in the help file

For the record:

Change this:

GUICreate("Hello", 800, 480, -1, -1, $WS_POPUPWINDOW)

to this:

GUICreate("Hello", 800, 480, -1, -1, $WS_POPUPWINDOW, $WS_EX_CONTROLPARENT)

..will do the Trick!

again DOH! :)

ZetupEXE.

Using $WS_EX_CONTROLPARENT is not the best solution. That style is designed to let you tab through the child controls, and dragging the GUI is an unfortunate secondary effect. :)

If you want to see a number of ways to drag a pop-up GUI, please see the Moving and Resizing PopUp GUIs tutorial in the Wiki. ;)
