MDI quest continues

Recommended Posts

my research atm goes like this:

1) find some relevant post

2) try understanding it

3) finding some code in the aformentioned post

4) fiddling with it

5) failing to acheive what i want.

and what is it that i want? well, in VB i can have a window acting as a parent, and the child window has two distictions:

1) it can not be dragged out of the parent

2) when maximized, it fills the parent, instead of the whole screen.

that's currently what i'm after.

i have yet to fulfil a single goal. suggestions?

also, please either link me to a dllcall help thing or avoid it alltogether, as i can not begin to grasp that idea.

GodForsakenSoul,

Take a look at this topic where I show how to create MDI children which:

1) can not be dragged out of the parent

2) when maximized, fill the parent, instead of the whole screen

There is also a little wrinkle to prevent them being moved when maximised. :)

Please ask if you have any questions. ;)

P.P. We never did find an answer to the locking problem mentioned at the end of the thread - so do not ask about that! ;)
