Smashly,

No sines or cosines needed! ;)

For both axes: Middle = (Start + End) / 2

Thank You M23 ;)

It's that simple, sheez I've been looking at it all wrong ;)

I'm making a polygon editor for a simple 2D top scrolling flying shooter I have in the making.

Polygon editor makes it a bit easier for me to create the aircraft.

The editor just outputs the polygon points for me to use in my game.

Where the middle of the line part was needed was when adding points to the polygon.

All good now :)

Cheers

OMG, that's really smashly... use sin and cos to calculate the middle of the line??? ;)

Nope not yet :) ,

I think the last time I used cos and sin was drawing the hands on a clock or maybe when i was playing with a matrix and calculating the center to keep my spinning object centered .

Yep I'm pretty clueless when it comes to maths and it always make my head hurt ;)

x1, y1 = start coordinate

x2, y2= end coordinate

Xm = (x2 - x1) / 2

Ym = (y2 - y1) / 2

should work.

Br,
