EnrMa
Hello, can anybody help me, please ? I need to create sliders with _GUICtrlSlider_Create , because I want the Tooltips. But how can I change the Backgroundcolor of the slider ? _WinAPI_SetBkColor doesn't work. Thanks, Enrico
BrewManNH
Tooltips work just fine on the sliders created with GUICtrlCreateSlider, not sure why you thought they didn't. As to changing the background color of the slider use GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0x0008000 to change it. Substitute the "0x0008000" with your choice of a color. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. Moderators Melba23 Posted September 21, 2010 Moderators Share Posted September 21, 2010 BrewManNH,Using GUICtrlSetBkColor does not work on UDF created controls - did you try? The GUICtrl* commands only work on controls created by the built-in commands which return a ControlID - UDF created controls return handles.EnrMa,As BrewManNH has already pointed ot, ToolTips work on sliders created with GUICtrlCreateSlider and you can change the colour easily, as you can see here: #include <GUIConstantsEx.au3> $hGUI = GUICreate("Test", 500, 500) $hSlider_AI = GUICtrlCreateSlider(10, 10, 200, 40) GUICtrlSetBkColor(-1, 0xFF0000) GUICtrlSetTip(-1, "I am a ToolTip on this Slider") GUISetState() While 1 Switch GUIGetMsg() Case $GUI_EVENT_CLOSE Exit EndSwitch WEnd_WinAPI_SetBkColor did not work because it requires a Device Context as the identity parameter. EnrMa
Thanks, but you missunderstood me, I need the tips ($TBS_TOOLTIPS) that show me the current pos of the slider, but if there is no way to change the bkcolor of an slider created by _GUICtrlSlider_Create(), I have to use the simple slider. BrewManNH
I was referring to changing the background color of the NON-UDF slider, not the UDF created slider. Sorry if I didn't make that clear. As to the tooltip showing the current position of the slider, I use this in my media player for the tooltip for my volume control. Perhaps you could modify that to your needs. $Percent = GUICtrlRead($Volume) GUICtrlSetTip($Volume, "Volume - " & $Percent & "%") SoundSetWaveVolume($Percent) If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise.
