Special characters

Hello. I'm making an account wizarder for Windows. This is line with account name:

InputBox("Title", "Type your name: ",""," M", 300,120)

I have one problem. How to block entry of special and polish characters (eg.!@#$%^&*()_+, ąężźćół) in this InputBox ?

Try

$String = 'abcd%^&*efgh'

$String = StringRegExpReplace ( $String, '[.!@#$%^&*()_+,ól]', '' )    ; add characters you want remove between brackets
ConsoleWrite ( $String & @CRLF  )

Do you mean that you only want alpha (a-z) and digits (0-9)? That means no spaces as well?

In that case to remove them

$sStr = StringRegExpReplace($sStr, "(?i)[^a-z0-9]", "")

To test for them

If StringRegExp($sStr, "(?i)[^a-z0-9]", 0) Then MsgBox(4096, "Error", "You have entered invalid characters")

You may be able to use [^\w] to test but I'm not sure if the Polish characters are included in \w or not.
