Fran
I'm attaching my script to this message. RS_CompileFinalUpdate.au3 I have created a little app that automates a few tasks. One of them is the compiling of and autoit script to exe. On my pc I have no problem with this script, but for some unknown reason it's not running on any other machine (even though I've installed autoit on their machines). I'm sure I'm missing something really silly in my scripting, but I keep banging my head and the answer's not coming. Can anyone assist me please? (It does everything perfectly up until _RunDOS(), but it doesn't give any error messages so I have no idea what it's not doing.ContentUpdate.au3 Edited October 1, 2010 by Fran
Moderators Melba23 Posted October 1, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 1, 2010 Fran,Are you sure you installed AutoIt into exactly the same path on the other machines? I have used RunWait successfully to compile in-script:RunWait(@ComSpec & " /C " & "Aut2Exe.exe /in " & $Source_File & " /out " & $Target_File & " " & $Icon_File & " " & $Comp_Parameters , @ScriptDir & "\", @SW_HIDE)Perhaps this will work for you too. Moderators Melba23 Posted October 1, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 1, 2010 Fran,Look in the Help file under <Compiling Scripts with Aut2Exe - Method 3 - The Command Line> to see what the various parameters are. As you seem to have a non-standard install, try putting the full path of Aut2Exe. Fran
100% - thank you... still only works on my pc though Is there a way that I can run a "pause" command to the same window so I can see what the error is? Fran
Moderators Melba23 Posted October 1, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 1, 2010 Fran, No idea. But try putting exactly the same string into the DOS prompt manually and see what happens.
