bahtea Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 These lines $fPath = WinGetTitle("[CLASS:Notepad++]", "") _PathSplit($fPath, $szDrive, $szDir, $szFName, $szExt) MsgBox(0, $fPath, "Drive = "& $szDrive & @crlf & "Dir = "& $szDir & @crlf & "Filename = "& $szFName & @crlf & "Extension = "& $szExt);fetch me this info:Drive = D:Dir = \40\Filename = 1Extension = .txt - Notepad++I, however, do NOT want the backslashes around the dir number. The reason being that I want to use the dir name as a variable and the \'s spoil the whole string.Is there a way to have a simple Dir = 40so I can use the '40' in peace?Thank you. Moderators Melba23 Posted October 6, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 6, 2010 (edited) ahtea,Just remove the "\" characters. Here are a couple of ways to do it: $sDir = "\40\" $sNewDir_1 = StringtrimRight(StringTrimLeft($sDir, 1), 1) ; if more than one folder deep $sNewDir_2 = StringReplace($sDir, "\", "") ; if just the one folder MsgBox(0, "", $sDir & @CRLF & $sNewDir_1 & @CRLF & $sNewDir_2)Peaceful enough? BrewManNH Posted October 6, 2010 Share Posted October 6, 2010 Try: $NewDir = StringReplace($szDir, "\", "") Using this if the directory the file is in is more than just one folder deep, you will end up with, if for example the directory structure equals "D:\40\Subfolder\Subfolder1\1.txt" $NewDir will equal "40subfoldersubfolder1". So you'd have to modify this if you're looking more than one folder deep. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise.
