sshrum
CRAP CRAP CRAP....using AutoIT 3.3.6.1 My backup overwrote the au3 file I was modifying and now I've lost all the coding in the au3 prior to the backup (couple hours of work that I guess I could retype). I have the latest code it the exe I made but I still need to do more work on it. Tell me there is a way to extract the au3 from the exe???!!! JohnOne
I'm afraid that is no longer supported or allowed in Autoit3. I guess you dont need reminding of what you should have done before this happened Unlucky. sshrum
Nvrmnd...I was able to recode the thing in like 10 minutes (blame my panic attack for the exaggerated timeframe). Hehe. However, the FAQ doesn't explain why we can no longer do the EXE2AU3 anymore. I'm just curious now. BrewManNH
BTW, a good idea in the future would be to set the Tidy parameter to make backups of your script when it's run. I have it set to save 10 old copies of the scripts I write just in case I lose the original (they're usually on my thumb drive and I tend to forget them occasionally), or you write something that totally screws up what you were trying to accomplish. Everytime you run Tidy on your scripts, it will make a back up of it. It will overwrite the back ups after you have more than the number of backups you specify where #2 will overwrite #1, #3 overwrites #2 etc. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Good to know.My reason for this was simple: I didn't wanted to be responsible for any screw-ups by tidy.
