Help with 'Run' and 'ShellExecute' Commands

Hello,

Just upgraded to windows 7. Inmy basic GUI I have an input box, and a submit button

What I want to do is to be able to run 'remote assistance' however this code won't work! Can it be done?

ShellExecute("c:\windows\system32\msra.exe /offerra COMPUTERNAME") (COMPUTER NAME BEING THE VARIABLE)

Run("c:\windows\system32\msra.exe /offerra XOPI025")

Using 'ShellExecute' it says windows cannot find.... try again, However it works if I just do:

ShellExecute("c:\windows\system32\msra.exe")

Using 'Run' Run("c:\windows\system32\msra.exe /offerra COMPUTERNAME")

Doesn't work either....

What am I doing wrong?!! Thanks in advance.

Try using @ComsPec

$ComputerName = 'Remote ComputerName'
Run(@ComSpec & ' /c msra.exe /offerra ' & $ComputerName, @TempDir, @SW_HIDE)

You need to make sure your computer name variable isn't enclosed in the same quote marks as you have for the program you want to run. Run("C:\Windows\system32\msra /offera " & $computername) for example.

Run("c:\windows\system32\msra.exe '/offerra XOPI025'")

Try using @ComsPec

Run(@ComSpec & ' /c msra.exe /offerra ' & $ComputerName, @TempDir, @SW_HIDE)

That opens up remote assistance fine, but Windows says ' Your offer to help could not be completed'

Weird because running this directly in the command line runs it fine.

Any other suggestions or possible switches I can try?? Ta

Is this file in the temp directory? Try replace @tempdir with ""
