I was wondering if its possible to copie somme text in a file and after get a specific line from that text et put it on a Send CMD?

I know its possible in C to do it without opening the file but is it in auto It?

Thanks

Gimpy,

Welcome to the AutoIt forum. ;)

You can everything you want to do in AutoIt. ;)

There are a number of functions that will get you the text of the file (File Read, FileReadLine, _FileReadToArray). You actually do open and close the file while it is read, but that is done automatically for you.

There are then a number of options to find a specific text within the read data (StringInStr, _ArraySearch, or even StringRegExp). Do you know exactly which line you want to extract, or do you have to seach for a specific match?

And Send will quite happily take variables to pass on. Although if you know exectly where to you need to put it, ControlSend might be a better function to use.

If you could provide a bit more detail, we could offer more detailed help. :)
