AdamSwe
Well, I'm working on a playlist function and I need to select the next song in the list. The current way i use: $read=GUICtrlRead(GUICtrlRead($playlist)) $string=StringSplit($read, "|") $currentsong = _GUICtrlListView_FindText($playlist, $string[1]) Func nextsong() $nextsong=$currentsong+1 _GUICtrlListView_ClickItem($playlist, $nextsong) play() EndFunc But this way seems to need the player as active window or well visible atleast, tried using the player while being in fullscreen in a game and it just started playing the song i already heard. ideas anyone? Moderators Melba23 Posted October 20, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 20, 2010 AdamSwe,ideas anyone? Why not store the list as an array? Then if the GUI is visible you can fill the ListView from the array and action it to select the next song - if the window is hidden then you can action the array directly. AdamSwe
Hmm, can you give an example? And i kinda prefer the way i have it atm since the player works great aslong as the window is visible, i just wish you could make the _GUICtrlListView_ClickItem($playlist, $nextsong) like a controlclick Edited October 20, 2010 by AdamSwe
Moderators Melba23 Posted October 20, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 20, 2010 AdamSwe,Hmm, can you give an example? Not a hope! You want the script, you write it! I am quite prepared to help when you run into difficulties but I am not writing the code for you. Moderators Melba23 Posted October 20, 2010 Moderators Share Posted October 20, 2010 AdamSwe,i have never rly used arrays, so a little push would have been niceA very good tutorial on Arrays to be found in the Wiki. Is that enough of a push to be getting on with? Seriously, give it a go yourself - you know where we are if you get stuck. AdamSwe
Solved another way, it removed the function that people can pick from where they wish to start playing their playlist from tho, but well, can bother with this another time
BrewManNH
Solved another way, it removed the function that people can pick from where they wish to start playing their playlist from tho, but well, can bother with this another time Check out the media player that I wrote, it's linked in my signature. In this player it uses a next/previous function to skip to the next song or the previous one. It will also play the next song in the listview when the previous song ends. The player doesn't need to be visible to work correctly because I manipulate the selection by using the currently selected item and then just incrementing it by 1. The functions to look at in my script are called Previous and Next1 (kind of easy to figure out why.)You might also notice that you can sort the playlist by any of the column headings and then the listview will get rebuilt so that the next/previous functions will still work. The function that rebuilds the LV is called surprisingly, rebuildlv. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
