Hi,

In windows 7, when you look at the process list (ctrl+shift+esc), for each runing process it show a description field.

Is there a way ro add such information for .exe compiled with autoit ?

Another question, how can I set up a ctrl+start function ? Say I have my .exe finished, a shortcut on my desktop. And if I hold "ctrl" key while starting, it execute something (of course coded inside the exe). How can I know the script have been launch whith ctrl pressed ?

Cheers,

Kib

It's the "File description" field of the file's attributes. Right-click on the .exe file, select properties, and the Details tab.

There are some functions posted around here that will read file attributes like that.

Ah, I thought you were trying to read another file, not set your own description. Add this to the top of your script:

#AutoIt3Wrapper_Res_Description=This is my file description

Strange, I tested that yesterday and it didn't work. Redone it now, it does exactly what I want !!

Thanks ;-)

Any idea for ctrl+start ? will look at some sort of if keypressed(ctrl) then .. in the first lines of the script.
