Curl supports HTTPS certificates, HTTP POST, HTTP PUT, FTP uploading, kerberos, HTTP form based upload, proxies, cookies, user+password authentication, file transfer resume, http proxy tunneling and a busload of other useful tricks. Open source & freeware.Platform: Windows/Linux/True64/Solaris/IRIX/HP-UX ...Mission completed:I had to download a report from an intranet (helpdesk) page once a day.Direct access to the assigned DB wasn't possible.With curl we "greped" the page content using the commandline (regardless that I had to to login with user/pw).
