shanet
AutoIT doesn't like me OK. So basically, as the title says, I wish to be able to edit the registry as a non-admin. I'm sure all the other programs on my computer do it, so why cant mine? I have created a sub branch for my program to store its information in the registry and wish to be able to edit keys under that. However I must be an admin to do so! Is there any way to be able to get a program to run, any lines I can add, to make a program be able to edit the keys without admin privelidges? Thanks guys, shanet [font="Comic Sans MS"]My code does not have bugs! Realm
shanet, #RequireAdmin, does not mean the script has to run from the Admin Account, it means the script can run on any account, as if it has Admin rights. Realm Edit: From the Help File 'This function was primarily aimed at allowing AutoIt scripts to work correctly with Windows Vista User Account Control (UAC)' Edited December 9, 2010 by Realm My Contributions: Unix Timestamp: Calculate Unix time, or seconds since Epoch, accounting for your local timezone and daylight savings time. Mat
Depends what keys you want to access. This should only be HKEY_CURRENT_USER (HKCU) with your program, which is fine. You will always need higher priviliges to write to HKLM. AutoIt Project Listing
