Filedelete not working

I've tried both these options and yet I can't delete the internet files on my own profile. What's the secret?

$status1 = Filedelete("C:\Documents and Settings\Userx\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\*.*")
$status = Filedelete("""" & "C:\Documents and Settings\Userx\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\*.*" & """")

msgbox(0,$status1, $status)

The way I do it on the computers at the school I work at is to delete the whole folder when the user logs off. Windows will recreate it if it's missing. I also do the same thing with the Local Settings\Temp folder on log off. I do it with a batch file though.

Many thanks. I was only searching under the function name, not how to clean ie temp files.
