Janos Siklosi Posted December 18, 2010 Share Posted December 18, 2010 Hi,this code takes about 2-2.5sec to execute. Any ideas how to speed it up?Opt("PixelCoordMode", 0) $begin = TimerInit() $winsize = WinGetClientSize("[active]") for $i = 0 to 63 $line = Mod($i,8)+1 $col = Ceiling(($i +1)/8) $rgbleds[$i+1] = StringRight(hex(PixelGetColor($line * int(($winsize[0]/2)/8),$col * ($winsize[1]/8))),6) next for $i = 0 to 63 $line = Mod($i,8)+1 $col = Ceiling(($i +1)/8) $rgbleds[$i+65] = stringright(hex(PixelGetColor($line * int(($winsize[0]/2)/8) + int(($winsize[0]/2)), $col * ($winsize[1]/8))),6) next $dif = TimerDiff($begin) ConsoleWrite($dif & @CR)I made this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtq_o76CT8A and I was planing to use this code to "transfer" winamp visualization to this board... It's actualy working but it's too slow... formating serial frames and sending takes about 8ms but pixelgetcolor takes 2.5sec Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

BrewManNH Posted December 18, 2010 Share Posted December 18, 2010 4.6msecs for me here on a very old laptop. The result from the TimerDiff is in milliseconds, not seconds. Perhaps you're misinterpreting the results? If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day.
