what is the wrong in next code

If $Reg = RegRead("hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer","norun","reg_dword","0")
  RegRead("hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer","norun","reg_dword","0")

Missing Then on the first line. But from the looks of things there is more code. For example has $Reg been declared? Also RegRead() is using more than 2 Parameters.

i want to know code that read some key in registry and execute next command

if this key is really exist ,automatically delete this key

if not exist directly exit

for example the key is

i create 2 keys in registry editor that are

RegWrite("hkey_current_user\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer","norun","reg_dword","0")
  RegWrite("hkey_local_machine\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\policies\explorer","norun","reg_dword","0")

then i applied your post but there is not any change in registry and this 2 keys are exist and not delete

What version of AutoIt are you using, 3.3.6.1? Because I have tested the code on XP SP3, which creates the Key then Deletes, the MsgBox() shows as a visual element. If you could post the code you have at least tried it would help!

win xp sp2

i tested your codes but do not delete this keys in registry

really this big problem, we want to know the correct method to read some key then delete it if is exist else skip and do not execute any thing , exit

I read through this thread but am lost on what it is you want to accomplish.

If it is simply deleting keys in the registry that RegDelete() should do it without any testing.

Make sure you test the return code to establish it's success and when unsuccessful check what the @error is.

Download the new Version of AutoIt first and then try the Example. If this doesn't work then no idea. Plus, if you could post the code you have at least tried it would help, because the Examples I have provided are working.

Only big problem seem to be your not willing or not capable to do the last bits yourself.

Go take one of the Beginner AutoIt/coding tours to learn some basics in relation to coding. -> http://www.autoitscript.com/wiki/Tutorials

Unless you can at least edit or modify code that others supply. Your going to be stuck real fast around here.

I have spent about 10 mins testing on XP SP3 and I know it isn't my code. If you play around with this you will see it works, the Key is created and deleted.

but you must kind with all in your manner

can you compare between my code and guinness's code (my best friend)

you will see one word is missing in code that is ------(think - decied - then explorer )

already i disable run therefore when i applied guinness's code , the run from start is not opened with me and i know this code do not delete key from registry.therefore i said this provided code is not work with me
