sfoucher Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Hello, Just installed AutoIt under Windows 7 (Ultimate, x64), I chose the x32 version of AutoIt at the installation, tried the tutorial but got a lot of problems. When I run the following script: Run("notepad.exe") WinWaitActive("Untitled - Notepad") Send("This is some text.") Nothing happens but then when opening the task manager, I got 400+ Notepad.exe running ultimately crashing the computer, any clue? Thanks! guinness Posted January 5, 2011 Share Posted January 5, 2011 (edited) Weird, because this isn't in a Loop so there should only be 1 instance of Notepad. I tried the code you posted using AutoIt x64 and AutoIt x32 and both worked as expected. I have the AutoIt x64 on by Default, but if you use #AutoIt3Wrapper_UseX64=N at the top of the Script it will use x32 by Default. But you must have the full version of SciTE4AutoIt3, which is a must for any AutoIt enthusiast.My suggestion: Restart your PC or reinstall AutoIt.
