texan
I created two listviews on a screen and want to be able to highlight an item(s) in both lists at the same time and then perform an action based on which items I selected. But, once I mouse click in either listview the highlighted item in the other listview can not be seen. For example: - List A is a list of PC Names - List B is a list of UserIDs - The user needs to select a PC from List A and a UserID from List B then click a button to signon to that PC Is there some way to do this? Am I just missing some simple option?
Moderators Melba23 Posted January 7, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 7, 2011 texan,This used to get me every time until I realised what was going on! The ListView is created with the $LVS_SHOWSELALWAYS style, but for many Windows colour schemes the default Windows colour for the selected item when the ListView does not have focus is very close to the background colour of the ListView, so it is almost impossible to see. Try changing the background colour of the ListViews with GUICtrlSetBackColor and you should see the blue focused highlight change to a white highlight when focus is lost. If you ever find out how to change the "selected but not focused" colour for a ListView I would be most grateful if you would share it with us - I have been looking for a while and come up blank. Moderators Melba23 Posted January 7, 2011 Moderators Share Posted January 7, 2011 texan,My pleasure. Could I ask that when you reply you use the "Add Reply" button at the top and bottom of the page rather then the "Reply" button in the post itself. That way you do not get the contents of the previous post quoted in your reply and the whole thread becomes easier to read.
