[SOLVED] _ExitOnError problem

Hi all.

I have been looking at some example code in this forum and from time to time I come across things like this

If $iAdvTab = -1 Then _Exitonerror("Failed to find 'Advanced' tab.")

When I try to call _Exitonerror in my own scripts (I have latest autoit3 install by the way), it fails with this message: ERROR: _Exitonerror(): undefined function

Am I missing something in terms of libraries?

If anyone knows what the problem could be please let me know

Do a search on it here. Only 3 results, can it be there somewhere? Yes.

Heck, do a search for "func _Exitonerror" and you only get 1 result.... And it's the same post that you "borrowed" that one line of code from.

I found only 2 other references to _Exitonerror on the forum which both use it like this:

; Find and select Advanced tab
$iAdvTab = _GUICtrlTab_FindTab($hTab, "Advanced")
If $iAdvTab = -1 Then _Exitonerror("Failed to find 'Advanced' tab.")

; ...other code

Func _Exitonerror($sText)
    MsgBox(16, "Error", $sText)
    Exit
EndFunc

As you can see from the above, _Exitonerror is a function written within the script to indicate that a fatal error has occured and what caused it. It is not a native AutoIt command, so you have to add it to each of your scripts (either in full or via an #include file) if you want to use it.

I should have looked deeply into the script from which I borrowed the line.

I somehow assumed it was a library I was missing.

I do really feel stupid now, and rightly so.
