texan Posted January 18, 2011 Share Posted January 18, 2011 I am looking for an alternative method to kicking off an AutoIt script on a remote PC other than using PsExec. I am having an extermely weird problem () using PsExec so I am looking for some other method that doesn't use PsExec so I can determine if PsExec is part of my problem or not. I have been trying to read more about WMI, which I know nothing about, to see if it can do what I need but I read a few casual comments about WMI that make it sound like it can't display a GUI or maybe it can't work with a GUI (not sure which). Anyways here is exactly what I need to accomplish:- Main PC kicks off an AutoIt script on PC's A, B, and C remotely using something other than PsExec- The AutoIt script that runs on PC's A, B, and C will display a AutoIt GUI and start a Windows application and signon to that application- I have full access to all PC's.- All PC's are setup as part of a Workgroup, not a domain- I sign on to each PC using a local admin account with full access Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

iamtheky Posted January 19, 2011 Share Posted January 19, 2011 (edited) What happens when you run \\SERVER\path\.exe If you are the admin and that account is the same on all the machines I would think it to execute normally (albeit in your current session, but should let you know if you have other issues) Edited January 19, 2011 by iamtheky ,-. .--. ________ .-. .-. ,---. ,-. .-. .-. .-. |(| / /\ \ |\ /| |__ __||| | | || .-' | |/ / \ \_/ )/ (_) / /__\ \ |(\ / | )| | | `-' | | `-. | | / __ \ (_) | | | __ | (_)\/ | (_) | | .-. | | .-' | | \ |__| ) ( | | | | |)| | \ / | | | | | |)| | `--. | |) \ | | `-' |_| (_) | |\/| | `-' /( (_)/( __.' |((_)-' /(_| '-' '-' (__) (__) (_) (__) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
