kor
I have been told that the scripts I am writing can't spit out automated spreadsheets (which is what i was counting on) instead the only way for this application my script relies on to to send out automated reports is via email. I imagine it would be a separate email for each action. Before I even start I am just wondering if anyone has ever had to monitor an email box before to mine information from? I imagine reading the contents of an email into something is easy enough, but the action of actively monitoring an email box (exchange) seems rather complicated. Would anyone know where I might start research into doing this so I can get a little more informed about what is going to be needed to do such a thing. Thanks. water
I would monitor the number of unread mails in the inbox in a loop. If the number changes then check for the report mails by subject. I can provide an example on monday. kor
Would this utilize an outlook UDF? I'd prefer if I could get something that would be self contained and wouldn't need to be logged in or rely on outside programs to monitor.
