How can I insert a " in StringReplace

Recommended Posts

I need to add a string to an xml document that has a " in it. How can I do this?

$NewCustomerData = StringReplace($chars, 538, $CustomerID & "_" & $CustomerPin & "<width>620</width><max-width>3000</max-width><min-width>0</min-width><height>500</height><max-height>3000</max-height><min-height>0</min-height><fullscreen>false</fullscreen><resizable>true</resizable><chrome scrollbars=" & """ & "true" & """ & ">true</chrome><maximizable>true</maximizable><minimizable>true</minimizable><closeable>true</closeable></window></ti:app>")

Also, is it possible to use carriage returns for extremely long lines of code? The above is in one line and I would like to see it in my code as 10 lines.

Get Scite to add a popup when you use a 3rd party UDF -> http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/scite/docs/SciTE4AutoIt3/user-calltip-manager.html

computergroove,

If you have literal " in a string then you need to use ' as the string quote: :)

$sString = Chr(34) ; "

$sResult = StringReplace($sString, '"', "*")

ConsoleWrite($sResult & @CRLF)

You use the underscore as a line break continuation character - notice the '"' sections: :idiot:

$NewCustomerData = StringReplace($chars, 538, $sString = $CustomerID & "_" & $CustomerPin & _
    "<width>620</width><max-width>3000</max-width><min-width>0</min-width><height>" & _
    "500</height><max-height>3000</max-height><min-height>0</min-height><fullscreen>" & _
    "false</fullscreen><resizable>true</resizable><chrome scrollbars=" & _
    '"' & "true" & '"' & ">true</chrome><maximizable>true</maximizable><minimizable>" & _
    "true</minimizable><closeable>true</closeable></window></ti:app>")

All clear? ;)
