noab
Hi, I tryed AutoIt it for the 1. time but some of the demos do not work. Reason seems to be the WinWaitActive() function, it does not come back. in the notepad1.au3 demo 29: WinWaitActive("[CLASS:Notepad]") -> works 45: WinWaitActive("Notepad") -> doesn't come back (System German Windows 7) has it to do with the language? thanks noab
somdcomputerguy
WinWaitActive("Notepad") -> doesn't come back (System German Windows 7) has it to do with the language? Probably. See the Helpfile here, http://www.autoitscript.com/autoit3/docs/functions/AutoItSetOption.htm#WinTitleMatchMode. - Bruce /*somdcomputerguy */ If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change. Tvern
(System German Windows 7)has it to do with the language?Yes. The first example looks for a window ofthe type notepad uses, while the second example looks for a window with a title starting with "notepad".I know the title of notepad is localised, so I assume it's something like Notizblok in german. While the type of window is still correct, the title is different.I try not to rely on win titles, but instead check anything I can be relatively sure of to be the same on different PC's.
