clock on gui refreshing, but blocking other commands..

ok, i know what the problem is here, but for the life of me i cant figure out if its fixable...

My GUI is used for browsing websites that i have bookmarks set as buttons...

I want a clock on the GUI..

using this code for the clock,

GUICtrlSetData ( $Hourb, (@HOUR/24) * 100)
GUICtrlSetData ( $Minb, (@MIN/60) * 100)
GUICtrlSetData ( $Secb, (@SEC/60) * 100)
GUICtrlSetData ( $Hour , @HOUR)

GUICtrlSetData ( $Sec , @SEC)

so, if i have the code just like that, it works fine, but since there is no sleep between the refresh of the clock, the progress bars and the text tend to flicker a lot.

if i put a sleep(1000)

then it blocks the rest of the GUI operating :/

any suggestions?

You could put the clock inside a function and call the function using Adlibregister. Also, only change the clock if the display needs to change, for example, don't update the clock display all the time, only once a second is necessary because otherwise it will flicker like you describe.

The best solution for such tasks is using timers.

Look at _Timer_SetTimer() in Timers.au3 standard UDF.
