The reason you cannot open Help until you have saved is because the additional LUA scripts that Jos has added to the basic SciTE only function with a .au3 file is loaded. If you look, you get none of the extra tools in the <Tools> menu either if you are not editing a .au3 file. Don't see how this can easily be resolved for opening the helpfile while a script is running.
