scite4 installation

Recommended Posts

I am too old to be a newbie! That being said, here is todays trouble.

The editor instalation on my test system has all sorts of neat stuff under tools. Stuff like au3info, au3record, autoitmacrorecord, and so on down the screen.

Now as I install autoit3 and scite4 on the production system, there is only the basic build and compile with very little else under tools.

I am using the SciTE4AutoIt3.exe editor installer and the newest verion of autoit.

What have I overlooked?

autoitWV,

You need to have a saved .au3 file open in SciTE for the additional menu items to appear. :)

Thanks for the information M23. :)

Chimaera, learning is no issue, it is embarasing moments like this (M23's answer) that make feel really, really slow witted. :)

But the concern and patience of the autoit forum is keeping me from feeling totally lost. So feeling slow is none to bad!

Many thankx you and to the forum!#$%

autoitWV,

We are not all "script kiddies" you know - some of us have a lot more grey hair than we used to have! :)

And do not worry about the learning curve or asking what seem to be stupid questions - they remain on the forum for the lurkers to see when (or rather if) they search. Just be prepared for the occasional "RTFM" answer - although we usually tell you which bit of the manual to look at! :)
