iamtheky Posted March 30, 2011 Share Posted March 30, 2011 (edited) When executing a local HTML menu that calls swf objects our security posture throws roughly 3 dialogs in the IE environment confirming that you want to allow active scripting. However, If i build a simple GUI then _IEcreateembedded() and _IEnavigate to the html menu I do not throw any dialogs at all when executing swfs. Can anyone explain why this is allowing interaction that bypasses policy? This feature makes the embedded action much more useful. Thanks for any explanations. Moderators big_daddy Posted March 31, 2011 Moderators Share Posted March 31, 2011 I think this question would be better targeted at the MSDN crowd. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
iamtheky Posted April 6, 2011 Author Share Posted April 6, 2011 thanks, no replies yet, but from my experimenting I believe it has to do with the rights of the exe, as opposed to the rights of the html (and/or the browser) opened directly. I have a new issue with the embedded action as it seems to be ignoring CSS, any insight on this would be greatly appreciated. ,-. .--. ________ .-. .-. ,---. ,-. .-. .-. .-. |(| / /\ \ |\ /| |__ __||| | | || .-' | |/ / \ \_/ )/ (_) / /__\ \ |(\ / | )| | | `-' | | `-. | | / __ \ (_) | | | __ | (_)\/ | (_) | | .-. | | .-' | | \ |__| ) ( | | | | |)| | \ / | | | | | |)| | `--. | |) \ | | `-' |_| (_) | |\/| | `-' /( (_)/( __.' |((_)-' /(_| '-' '-' (__) (__) (_) (__) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
