In ScITE AutoIT3.exe ends whilst script is still runnning

Recommended Posts

Hi

I'm on Windows 7, ScITE 1.79, AutoIt v3.3.6.1.

I have a script that I am trying to debug. When I run it with F5 in ScITE it starts fine but AutoIT3.exe ends whilst the script is still running. Here's the console output. Any ideas?

Thanks

Malcolm

How do you mean the script is still running? What does your script do?

malcolmsearle,

Your script is ending according to that output. Do you still have the AutoIt icon displayed in the notification area? If so then this thread might well be of interest. :)

Are you by any chance using #RequireAdmin at the start of the script? If so, it will exit the original script, and then restart it after asking for approval, but SciTE sees the first execution as having ended.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

Yes! When I comment out #RequireAdmin and then start ScITE as an admin and run my script from there then the console displays just like it always did under XP and doesn't display "Exit" until I actually close the GUI. Thanks for the heads up!
