IEautomation Explorer

Sometime in 2009 I started using AUTOIT fo Internet Exporer automation. I tried using some of the suggested tools, but I wanted something else, so I made it.

It is a simple "crude" browser with buttons to show tables, links, and forms on a web page. The forms information is what I use the most. I get the name of the form (or iframe containing forms), element names and current values. With that info and a few user defined functions, most IE Automation has been easy.

If you look over the source code, you will find a lot of extra "junk" code in there from where I start with the original source code and add to it until I get it to to what I wish. I have scripts that I use for loging onto computers via logmein.com, telling fedex to pick up a package, and filling out insurance forms at work. This is my main tool.

I hope this helps someone.

If you try it, it will log onto google, com. press the buttons and you will get info about how to talk to the page. It sure beats reading the source code.

Question - any way this can accept cookies? I wanted to try this on a site that needs cookies and it doesn't work. Otherwise awesome!

Thanks!

Ian

  • Sync Tool - Folder sync tool with lots of real time information and several checking methods.

  • Audit Tool - Computer audit tool to gather vital hardware, Windows, and Office information for IT managers and field techs. Capabilities include creating a customized site agent.

  • MyDirStat - Lists number and size of files on a drive or specified path, allows for deletion within the app.
  • 2048 Game - My version of 2048, fun tile game.
  • Juice Lab - Ecigarette liquid making calculator.
  • Data Protector - Secure notes to save sensitive information.
  • VHD Footer - Add a footer to a forensic hard drive image to allow it to be mounted or used as a virtual machine hard drive.
