Tsukihime
Here is a simple text file called "test.txt" which contains just "abcde" 61 62 63 64 65 When I say $file = FileOpen("test.txt", 17) filesetpos($file, 0, 0) FileWrite($file, 0x0) FileClose($file) I get 00 00 00 00 65 How do I get it to only write a single null byte so that I get 00 62 63 64 65 Edited May 11, 2011 by Tsukihime

Tsukihime
Found a solution: $file = FileOpen("test.txt", 17) filesetpos($file, 0, 0) FileWrite($file, chr(0)) FileClose($file) Don't know why that did it but it works lol
jchd
FileWrite($file, 0x0) does what you ask it to do: write a 32-bit integer with value 0, hence the four 0x00 at top of your dumped file.
