Set Attribute Must Change Password At Next Logon = 0

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm a little bit confused  because I'm not able to find a solution for setting the AD (User) attribute pwdLastSet to Value = 0 (--->

I allready implemented the password reset using _AD_SetPassword(..,..) function, but I do not find anything for setting the pwdLastSet attribute :-(

Any ideas ?

thx in advance

chris

I have an example in my signature () that sets the pwdLastSet attribute on members of a defined OU. My script sets the attribute to 0, then -1 which causes the attribute to reflect the current time. I do this to trick our domain into thinking a password was changed when it was not. You might be able to tweak that example to suit your needs. Requires Admin (Domain) rights.

The newest version of the AD UDF (>= 0.38 ) has a third parameter for _AD_SetPassword() that does what you want.
