list hard drive help

Recommended Posts

Hi, I cant seem to find how to do this. If I have a simple GUI with a combo box, how can I display a list of connected hard drives in the combobox, and when you press a button a msgbox says 'you have selected C: drive' for example.

I have tried searching for various things but cant seem to find a streight forward answer also I have looked at example apps that use this feature but I dont understand the code by looking at it.

could someone possibly hook me up with an example please?

thanks

EDIT: Just quickly mension I have never used arrays before as i dont really understand it and I guess this will come in here? just thought id let u know

You probably should have looked in the GUI Help and support section, because the exact question was just asked and answered there today in post.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.
