ravenwish
Hi again, I have to copy some files, including a file of 6GB. (This prog will be used by a lot of people...not only me...then, I have to make sure it isn't freezing) So, I would want a progress bar(to add some beauty to my program and to show it is copiing my 6GB file and not freezing) Yesterday, I found a program on the forum, written by someone...but, it was pretty complex and it had over 500 code lines I just want something simple that will work... I tried few things but my progressbar never works(the progressbar creation isnt a prob, the real problem is the way i make it increase)...so, I'm starting from 0 again. Could you help me please? BrewManNH
I made that creates a GUI with a custom label/progress bar that you can modify to your needs. You just need to figure out in your script how to update the progress bar as you're copying files, or you can just use the Marquee style progress bar and update the label with the filename being copied. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.Give a programmer the correct code and he can do his work for a day. wraithdu
Maybe my _LargeFileCopy UDF is what you're looking for?
BrewManNH
wraithdu, that UDF looks very interesting. I'm going to have to take a look at it myself for a folder sync program I'm writing. With the $sFunction parameter that would go well with the UDF I built for the progress bar updates.
