Converting @CRLF, @CR, and @LF. Problems. Bug?

Recommended Posts

Hi!

I wrote the program "Click4u". (see http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...pic=12022&st=30).

But there's a problem that occurs:

"A little bug I found is that the conversions with @LF, @CR, and @CRLF does not always work correctly. Especially LF seems to be buggy... If somebody has time to look at the points where this code are converted to %CR%, %LF%, and %CRLF% and back, I would hihgle apreciate this! Take the Aut2exe as example and choose MatchMode 3 to reproduce the behavior."

Thanks for your help, peethebee

hey pee,

I know you have really worked hard on this project... i have been watching because I am writing a similar program

to ask someone to Debug a large project is asking more than most people will do....

so, if you could narrow it down to a sizeable project (an example script) that defines the actual problem, here in V3 support, you will probably get more help in the area you need it.

Just by reading you request, I beleive this is a problem when you save to a file and then read from that file.

If this is correct(just guessing) I wonder if you could use

**************************************

FileWrite ( filehandle or "filename", "line" )

Parameters

filehandle The handle of a file, as returned by a previous call to FileOpen. Alternatively, you may use a string filename as the first parameter.

line The line of text to write to the text file. The line is written as is - no @CR or @LF characters are added. **** this is the important part ****

**************************************

not sure just guessing...

so if this helps great..... if not, then give us an example script ok?

good luck P

Hi!

1. I would like to see your work too! Would be great, if it is already good enough to post it here. Otherwise you could send me the project in its current state. I'm interested in wehat your are doing deiiferent or even better...

2. It is written in an ini-file so I have only one line space in there to write it down.

3. But you gave me the idea to create for any window a seperate file, where I could store the text without changing it. I will try it this evening.

Thanks, peethebee

Hi!

Ini-Syntax:

[Category]

Key1=Value1

Ky2=Value2

That's why I do not know a way to save multiple lines without changing them...

peethebee.

p.s. writing it into an own text file seems to work fine so far. Will continue implementing it and release it hopefully soon....

Hi!

I think I solved the problem. I stopped converting @LF and @CR. @CRLF is still converted but the others do not cause the start of a new line in a text file.
