pedrosojones
Hi, How can I bypass the following error? I understand that the error happears because I have only 6 rows in my result. But I can run the script in another computer with more than 6 rows. Any way to count the number of rows? Thanks in advance ==> Array variable has incorrect number of subscripts or subscript dimension range exceeded.: If $FolderList[$i] = "Jones" Then If ^ ERROR Script: ------- #Include <Array.au3> $FolderList=_FileListToArray("C:\Users") _ArrayDisplay($FolderList,"Before the delete") ; MsgBox(64, "INFO", $FolderList[1] ) $max = MsgBox(0,'Max Index Numeric value', _ArrayMaxIndex($FolderList, 0, 50)) For $i = 0 to 20 Step +1 If $FolderList[$i] = "Jones" Then _ArrayDelete($FolderList, $i) _ArrayDisplay($FolderList,"Afterdelete") Endif Next Edited June 16, 2011 by pedrosojones
BrewManNH
Try this method: #include <Array.au3> #include <File.au3> $FolderList = _FileListToArray("C:\Users") _ArrayDisplay($FolderList, "Before the delete") ; MsgBox(64, "INFO", $FolderList[1] ) $max = MsgBox(0, 'Max Index Numeric value', _ArrayMaxIndex($FolderList, 0, 50)) For $i = UBound($FolderList) - 1 To 0 Step -1 If $FolderList[$i] = "Jones" Then _ArrayDelete($FolderList, $i) _ArrayDisplay($FolderList, "Afterdelete") EndIf Next If you're going to loop through an array to delete parts of it, you need to loop through it in reverse otherwise you will get that error. pedrosojones
