Pixel Search Right to Left

Recommended Posts

I want my pixel search to go right to left, but have no idea how to do this. All I can find on doing it is this:

"Remarks

The search direction varies as follows:

Left-to-Right - left < right

Right-to-Left - right < left

Top-to-Bottom - top < bottom

Bottom-to-Top - bottom < top

Changing the search direction can be a useful optimization if the color being searched for frequently appears in in a specific quandrat of the search area since less searching is done if the search starts in the most common quadrant."

I have no idea how to incorporate the direction into the Pixel Search because as far as I know the parameters for Pixel Search go PixelSearch ( left, top, right, bottom, color [, shade-variation [, step [, hwnd]]] )

Hi

I may be totally wrong here as I have not tried this, try putting negative numbers numbers in the right and bottom peramiters, or, swap the left/top with right/bottom.

Normally Pixelsearch works from top to bottom, and left to right. Imagine you're looking at an area that runs from 0,0 to 0,10 at the top, and from 10,0 to 10,10 at the bottom.

Now, if you want it to search from right to left, write your Pixelsearch like this

PixelSearch ( 10, 0, 0, 10, color [, shade-variation [, step [, hwnd]]] )

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.
