ghi
Hi everyone. I'm in a bit of a pickle.I need to run a script on a Windows XP machine at work. Unfortunately, due to security issues, I cannot actually compile the script on the same machine - I have to do it at home instead, on my Windows 7 machine, and then import it in on a CD.Now, according to this webpage, I should have an option to compile the script "for ANSI", which would allow it to work on Windows 9x machines. But here's the compiler window I get instead:Where's the option to compile for ANSI? Is it just not possible on a Windows 7 machine? (you have to bear in mind I'm a complete noob when it comes to this sort of thing)If it's not possible, could someone with the right machine compile the script for me? This is all it is:$answer = MsgBox(4, "Close locations", "This script will run in five seconds. Continue?") If $answer = 7 Then Exit EndIf Sleep(5000) $count = 0 While $count < 1000 Send("^c") Send("!{TAB}") Sleep(500) Send("^v") Send("^{F11}") Sleep(500) Send("{TAB}") Send("{TAB}") Send("{TAB}") Sleep(500) Send("!e") Send("{UP}") Send("{UP}") Send("{ENTER}") Send("{ENTER}") Sleep(500) Send("^s") Send("+{TAB}") Send("+{TAB}") Send("+{TAB}") Sleep(500) Send("{F11}") Send("{TAB}") Send("!{TAB}") Sleep(500) Send("{DOWN}")Thank you!!! jchd
From help file, Using AutoIt >> Unicode SupportNote: the Unicode version of AutoIt (AutoIt3.exe) and scripts compiled in Unicode mode will only run on Windows NT/2000/XP/2003/Vista and later machines. To allow scripts to run on Windows 9x scripts you must use an older version of AutoIt. The last version compatible with Windows 9x was 3.2.12.x.
