FMS
hello, First of all i'm a little bit noobisch in writing scripts but like it alot I wonder if there is a good tutorial or template (even better) for updating scripts... in the future i'm making a freeware script and wanna deploy it to the world from mine server @home... Is there a way that i can make a version number in mine script like v1.0 and when the script runs it checks mine server iff thhere is a update --> v1.2 and iff so download and update the script e.g dump old.exe and put instead new.exe? i hope that the tutorial is a little bit understandeble even for me;) thnx in advanced Edited July 4, 2011 by FMS as finishing touch god created the dutch
JohnOne
So you cannot be bothered refining your search or reading through the topics? Would you rather someone else did, and then give you the answer? JohnOne
Well you never updated your question, you just removed the part that said something like "I searched but there were too many results" And there is a major floor in that logic, the more hits the better your chances of finding many scripts just like what you want. There is no specific tutorial for the subject you want, but there are plenty of scripts. Use the advanced search feature and search titles only, and you will find quite a few, which you can look at and adapt. If you want general tutorials you can look that up in the helppfile. FMS
I'm not gonna defend how to ask a question, maybe u read it wrong or i write it wrong...... All i can say: why invent a wheel again? iff someone else invented it already? The main reason why i ask the question i did , that maybe someone can help me in the right direction... I don't want to ask iff someone can help me search whit that sentence i mean that i was looking for it but din't find what i was looking for as finishing touch god created the dutch
JohnOne
Sometimes, I despair. OK InetRead() FileRead() StringStripWS() Int() If...Else...EndIf Condition InetGet() Should have you started. Run() Selfdelete UDF Should see you finished. You're welcome. AutoIt Absolute Beginners Require a serial Pause Script Video Tutorials by Morthawt ipify Monkey's are, like, natures humans. somdcomputerguy
Can't post the link. So: advanced search key word 'update', search titles only, section: Forums, forum: Example Scripts.Your search for the term update returned 53 resultsIt's taken me longer to type this post than to perform that search. - Bruce /*somdcomputerguy */ If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
