How to make install not hidden

Recommended Posts

I have an automated install that works fine; However, its being launched over a network and because of this, the install automatically remains hidden. Does anyone know of anything that I can add to my script to make the install show up on the remote computer?(I dont want it to run in the background). The only options I can think of would be running a one time Task with Taskscheduler(ie. creating a file that tells task scheduler to call another file in say 1 minute). Has anyone been able to do this?

Thanks

Thanks for the advice, im looking for something a bit different though.

Lets say I have a program that opens notepad(not what im doing but its the simplest way to explain it) I can compile a script and it will launch notepad on my computer everytime I use it. If I send that script to another computer on the network (ie through command prompt) to be launched remotely, notepad will not show up on the computer, it will sit in the Task manager (meaning its running somewhere). Any ideas how I can get this to show up and not simply run in the background of another computer?

How are you launching "notepad" on the other computer? Using psexec or something similar? If you don't launch it in interactive mode, it will never show up as it's operating in a different session from the current user.

If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise. Also, if it doesn't work on XP I can't help with that because I don't have access to XP, and I'm not going to.

I hereby grant any person the right to use any code I post, that I am the original author of, on the autoitscript.com forums, unless I've specifically stated otherwise in the code or the thread post. If you do use my code all I ask, as a courtesy, is to make note of where you got it from.
