Guest wolfie
im trying to do some research to find out what i should use ive been using autohotkey but cant get it to do what i need properly. what i need is the ability to get the pid or uid of a window and use that to differate between multiple windows with same titles and while in other windows or places be able to send commands to specific windows and actually have them work. like for example as i sit here typing i would be sending commands to an inactive window. anyone know if autoit is capable of this and if it is put me in the right command direction. thanks in advance Wolfie
MSLx Fanboy
I believe [Larry] just posted something somewhere about a DLL call to get the pid of the current window. With that in mind, I believe that the same dll also gets the pid of any window (ex. in task manager). Writing AutoIt scripts since _DateAdd("d", -2, _NowCalcDate())
