qwert Posted August 1, 2011 Share Posted August 1, 2011 I suppose this is a strange usage, but I have a few lines of text comments in a script that I would actually like to have embedded in the script's obfuscated executable.What I've done is bracket the lines with #Obfuscator Off/On ... and it works ... sort of. I can clearly see the comments in the Script_Obfuscated.Au3 file when I open it with an editor ... so those comment lines aren't being stripped out. But try as I will, I can't find any semblance of the comment lines in the built Program.exe.Does the compile step encode character strings in some special manner? I've tried viewing text and Unicode(UTF-16). BTW, I can easily see the embedded comment "This program cannot be run in DOS mode."Thanks in advance for any help. If you really wanted the text in there, you could make it a string variable that isn't used in the script anywhere, although I am not sure if it will show up even then if you're obfuscating and using UPX. If I posted any code, assume that code was written using the latest release version unless stated otherwise.
