[Solved] Get last function name

Hi there,

I wonder how I can get last called function? I don't want use StdoutRead and the like.

My idea:

OnAutoItExitRegister("GetLastFunction")
;=== Functions ===
Func Quit()
Exit
EndFunc

Func GetLastFunction()
; Get "Quit"
Msg(32, "Last function name:", [?])
EndFunc

;=================
Sleep(3000)
Quit()
While 1
Sleep(10)

Is it possible?

In this case it's going to be the function Quit() that is the last used function, because OnAutoItExitRegister is only called after the script has been told to exit.

Other than having each function in your script write a line to a log file, I don't think that AutoIt shares that information with a script. So I don't think you'll be able to tell which function told the script to exit, it will only tell you how the script was told to close.

Remarks

The exit code can be retrieved with @ExitCode.

The mode of exit can be retrieved with @ExitMethod.

0 Natural closing.

1 close by Exit function.

2 close by clicking on exit of the systray.

3 close by user logoff.

4 close by Windows shutdown.

Maybe as you showed would work with a liitle change. Have a global variable $LastFunc and at the start of every function add the line

$lastFunc = "this funcname"

then in your onExit func (where you don't have that line of course) you can use $lastFunc.

Thank you for idea but I'll create functions ID list.

Using @ExitCode I'll get ID of function.

I use this to create the Functions list in my "FreeText.au3" file

This way I can add/change/remove/modify any Function and it is automatically updated in the list
